Multimedia Contest

Who can participate?

We invite contributions from a wide range of youth (ages 18 -30) from different theological, denominational, confessional, and geographical areas interested in Christian witness in the world today. We will accept diverse forms of media, including but not limited to: video, photography, music, painting, drawing, sculpture, etc.

How do you apply?

Applicants will be expected to submit their projects along with a title and a 1-3 page description answering the following questions:  

• How does your project demonstrate the changing face of mission?
• What is your perspective on how mission has changed? 
• How do you envision the utilization of your project in the mission field today?

High quality photos of paintings, drawings, and sculptures may be submitted during the application phase of the contest. Projects, such as videos and music, should aim for works lasting no more than 15 minutes in length. They may be submitted in any of the languages of the conference: English, French or Spanish, or in other languages by arrangement with the organisers.   

Why should you participate?

The contest winner will receive a sponsored invitation to the Edinburgh conference, where they will be able to present their project during one of the three evening sessions, as well as showcase their project throughout the conference.  The winning and top projects will be showcased on the Edinburgh 2010 website for worldwide display. 

How will this contest be advertised?

This call for multimedia projects is being distributed through the networks of Edinburgh 2010, which is inclusive of Protestant, Roman Catholic, Orthodox, Evangelical and Pentecostal churches in all regions of the world.  Please pass it on through your networks. To download our Flyer click here.
